![]() ![]() What Are the Problems with Your iPod Hard Drive? I don't have a blank DVD to burn so testing HeXen (or really, any other burnt DVD) will have to wait a little. One thing I could try is swapping the DVD Drives to test whether that's at fault (it's making horrid screeching noises when booting up, but does read spotless discs like my copy of Splinter Cell) It works perfectly on my other Xbox (both from the burnt DVD and attaching the. iso on the Hard Drive, except in that case it would show a loading image and then throw me back to the EvolutionX menu. Opened up the Xbox and I don't seem to find a chip so it's either Softmodded or TSOP (will take apart the motherboard at some point to see if there's sodder on the other side, but not now)Īnd I'm not sure if it can exactly play burnt DVDs, because when I tried to insert a burnt Rocky 5's Extras disc it would just straight up refuse to launch it. That's the thing, I bought the Xbox this way and it had EvolutionX already on it. And the Drive defaults to loading msdash.xbe instead of evox.xbe or whatever the file names are.even I don't know what the hell I did, honestly. I think the FTP file transfers failed as it loaded into error 13 when I launched it. Some context : I wanted to put a fresh install of MS Dash on the Drive. ![]() (Buying adapters would cost more than getting another Drive.I just don't want it as e-waste) So is there like some sort of application that allows me to browse a secondary Hard Drive through the Xbox? Heck, at this point I'd even prefer unlocking the Drive, formatting it, then cloning it again if I can do all of this with just an Xbox. Problem is, I have no way of connecting it to a PC. It's locked, but I do have the eeprom, and with that, the lock code. Point is, I put back the original Drive of the Xbox, the upgraded one was pretty much a clone of it. I have a 160GB IDE Hard Drive that I screwed up because instead of loading into a modded Dashboard (EvolutionX in this case) it defaults to the MS Dashboard, resulting in Error 13. ![]()
